The WP Hotels & Events group includes three theaters, five WP Hotels, two Enjoyhotels, over 30 holiday apartments, several restaurants and bars, and up to 10 original show productions per year. Ben Van den Keybus, owner and fourth-generation family member, and his wife Ann Fransen lead the company together with a team of experienced staff, many of whom have worked at Het Witte Paard Theater for years.

The family business Het Witte Paard was founded by Louis Smets, inspired by his experiences in America during the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair. Upon returning to Europe, he opened his iconic theater in Blankenberge in 1936, combining dining and live entertainment.

After World War II, the music modernized and comic sketches were added. Belgian and international performers such as Gaston & Leo, Will Tura, Helmut Lotti, and Johnny Logan regularly appeared.

In addition to Blankenberge, the company also had successful venues in Knokke and Ostend, which later closed due to complaints and fire. Today, Het Witte Paard is led by Ben Van Den Keybus, fourth generation, and remains the undisputed leader in variety shows and live entertainment on the Belgian coast.
